The courses listed below are offered at CCBCY. The course name indicates that the courses is mandatory to graduate. Courses are offered in seven divisions. Each division is indicated by an abbreviation preceding the course number. The abbreviations for the divisions are as follows:

-CHRISTIAN LIFE, DISCIPLESHIP AND COUNSELLING-
CL312 Women's Discipleship
2 Credits
This is a course in leadership for women to teach them how to disciple younger women in the faith. The course also provides an opportunity for those who are younger in the Lord to be discipled by older women.
CL315 Men's Discipleship
2 Credits per Semester
This course in leadership for men is designed to teach them how to disciple younger men in the faith. This course also provides an opportunity for those who are younger in the Lord to be discipled by more mature men.

CH310 Church History

Required
This course will be an overview of the history of Christianity from the death of Christ through the Twentieth Century. We will focus on the early development of the Church through the first five hundred years; the beginning of the Catholic Church, as well as the origin of Islam; the Middle Ages and the various influences during that time; the Crusades and the separation of the Orthodox and the Catholic Church; the centuries before, during, and after the Reformation; the spread of Christianity (both Catholic and Protestant) throughout the New World; and the history of American Christianity and its effort to evangelize the world.
CH315 NT Background

This course looks at the inter-testamental period and the cultural background to the time of the New Testament
CH391 Israel Tour
2 Credits
A 7-10 day tour of Israel based in Jerusalem and Galilee, with the opportunity to visit many of the Biblical sites and to study the Bible where Biblical events occurred.
-LANGUAGE ARTS-
LA301 Simplified Greek
2 Credits
This course is an introduction to Biblical Greek and provides the student with everything he or she needs to know to translate Mark chapter 1.
LA329 Intro to Biblical Hebrew
2 Credits
This course is designed to equip the student to use the language tools available for properly translating and interpreting the Hebrew Old Testament.
-MINISTRY-
CM199 Practical Christian Ministry
1 Credit
Required
Students will provide practical support to the many areas of the Bible College and Calvary Chapel York. Opportunities include facility management, outreach café, children's ministry and evangelism.
Sunday Chapel & Community Worship
1 Credit
Required
Students are expected to attend Sunday morning service at Calvary Chapel York, unless they have a Practical Christian Ministry commitment at another church.
Community Worship takes place on Monday evening and includes a time of worship and a devotional message brought by a member of staff.
M393 Biblical Missions
2 Credits
This course encourages the student to apply to his or her missionary endeavours the principles of mission that are described in the Bible, with particular reference to the ministry of the Apostle Paul.

NT310 Gospel of Matthew

This course is a verse-by-verse study of the Gospel of Matthew, with specific emphasis on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and on His claim to be the Messiah. Students will be blessed by this in-depth study, coming to the inescapable conclusion that Christ is the King. NT320 Gospel of John

This course is a verse-by-verse study of the Gospel of John. Students will study the theology of the Gospel of John along with an in-depth look at the Person and Work of Jesus Christ, specifically at John's portrayal of Him in His deity as the Son of God. "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. " John 1:14

This course is a verse-by-verse study of the Book of Acts, a book regarded as the second volume in a two-part work by Luke. Students will study in-depth the Early Church. "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me inJeruso/em, andinallJudea, and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." Acts 1:8
NT340 Romans

This course is a verse-by-verse study of the book of Romans, a book long regarded as the most systematic presentation of doctrine in the Bible. Students will consider in-depth the doctrines of grace, forgiveness and salvation together with the Apostle Paul's practical exhortation to Christ-likeness in life and ministry. "I beseech you therefore brethren, by the mercies of Cod, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. " Romans 12:1
NT120 1 Corinthians

This course is a verse-by-verse study of this letter by Paul to a church faced with similar issues to those challenging the church in N America & W Europe today
NT360 Hebrews

This is a verse-by-verse study of the book of Hebrews. Students will study in-depth the old and new covenant with particular emphases on the new covenant as a better covenant based on better promises with a better mediator, Jesus Christ our great High Priest, together with the authors specific exhortation to enter His rest and to live by faith. "Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh." Hebrews 10:19-20
NT375 Pastoral Epistles

This course is a verse-by-verse study of the books of 1 and 2 Timothy and Titus. Students will undertake in-depth practical study of the Apostle Paul's instruction to these young pastors on issues ranging from Church doctrine and Church government to the Word of God and the men of God. This is an expositional examination of The Revelation of Jesus Christ which God gave Him to show unto His servants- things which must shortly take place Revelation 1:1
Students will study this exciting book that focuses very clearly on the person of Jesus Christ, His epistles to the seven churches and the forthcoming unveiling of events knowing that 'Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein for the time is near' Revelation 1:3

This is a verse-by-verse study of the book of Genesis. It will be an in-depth study of the book of origins, with emphasis on the foundational doctrines of Christianity. OT330 Isaiah

This is an expositional examination of the book of Isaiah. The course will study the book verse-by-verse in a literal-grammatical-historical format, considering the historical setting, the audience, the context and the overall message. Students will begin to recognize and comprehend the Messianic passages within the book of Isaiah and more fully understand and love the Lord our God. "All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the LOUD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. " Isaiah 53.4

TH390 Inductive Bible Study

This course is designed to have students dig into the Word of God to search for its context, interpretation and application. In addition to understanding the Biblical text, we will also learn how to verbally communicate the word to others.
